a west coast india pale ale with hand-selected citra, mosaic and simcoe hops
brewed in collaboration with Highland Park, a real west coast brewery
A few months back, we released Old Man’s, a west-coast style pilsner that was inspired by a beer made by our good friends at Highland Park Brewery of Los Angeles. Instead of just being inspired by them, we sweet talked them into a long distance collaborative project so we could make a beer together.
Though we do make some hazi boi beers these days, our one true love when it comes to hoppy beers is the west-coast style. Partnering with a real west coast brewery like Highland Park is extra dreamy and really helps our little Appalachian brewery drive the point home.
Even though we worked on this west-coasty together, we still found ourselves inspired by an IPA they make called Hello, LA. The art on our can reflects this inspiration while paying obvious respects to the bustling rural metropolis that we call home.
Utilizing well water from deep below our farmhouse brewery along with local pilsner malt, those two things help make this beer inextricably ours. With that, these dudes were kind enough to send us some of their choicest, hand-selected citra hops for this left-coast banger. Those, combined with our regionally selected mosaic and simcoe hops, has created a damn fine, dreamy and delicious IPA.
